Hiking
I started hiking once I became a girl scout but returned to it during my undergraduate journey. You might be thinking about the feeling of freedom it gives you and going out to the mountain, climbing in a rock paradise where you are practically alone, with a spectacular landscape that delights your eyes, where you can hear the birds whistling and a soft breeze of fresh air that stirs your hair.

Skating
I adore skating because it has taught me so many things, including never giving up and many other things. Skating represents a culture, community, and brotherhood. I've never seen or witnessed a skateboarder insult or make fun of someone who can't skate; instead, they assist. I could be wrong, but skating is like a religion to me, and I plan to continue doing it until the end of my days.
Cooking
I've been cooking since I can remember due to my Mexican heritage and traditional dishes. Because flavors fill us with memories, and olfactory memory has great emotional power. We all keep images and sensations activated by certain smells, especially homemade dishes that take us back to our childhood and fill us with pleasure.
Because cooking connects us with simple things, nature, and our cultural past, stopping to prepare a simple meal from scratch gives us back a certain natural tranquility. Designing a simple sponge cake and watching it grow in the oven could not be more relaxing because it is a shared passion: thinking about who will taste our dish makes us involved uniquely. We show that we care about that person, and seeing them enjoy it is fantastic.
Surfing
Surfing is addictive for the sensation of sliding down a moving wave that disappears when you reach the shore and the contact with the sea that always makes you feel good: whether the waves are big or small, it does not matter.

Poetry
The importance of poetry lies in the fact that thanks to it, we can express emotions and use language in an accessible way. Unlike narrative, poetry gives us writers the freedom to appropriate language to re-signify it. It allows the illusion of believing and creating beauty, and even to introduce you into it, and in extreme cases, to make you part of it or to be one with it. And beauty is the only truth we can embrace.
Karate
I have been practicing karate for about three years because it is a complete martial art. Because it brings into play all the systems of the human body, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, and muscular systems in all its breadth, it also educates and conditions the reflexes. It exercises concentration. It generates respect and education, and it gives confidence and security.
